Summer Schools: The mathematics of rainbows (age 7–9)
Tue 1 August 2017, 10:30 – 12:45 BST
The rainbow is a natural phenomenon which has enthralled mankind for thousands of years, and one which contains many interesting things you might not have seen before. Join Alan Davies to explore rainbows, experiment with refraction and reflection, and discover the interesting science and mathematics behind this multi-coloured marvel.
Please note: This workshop is strictly for 7–9 year-olds. There will be a short break during the workshop and a drink and a small snack will be provided. Students should bring their own snack if they have any allergies
The Mathematics Summer School workshops are based on Ri Mathematics Masterclasses. Students who have attended a Masterclass series which included a session on a similar topic may have already seen some of the content in this workshop. Please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Refunds can only be issued for tickets cancelled at least two weeks (fourteen calendar days) in advance of the event date. Please note that this supersedes our normal event terms and conditions.
