Summer Schools: You are a Bioengineer (age 13–15)
Wed 23 August 2017, 10:30 – 15:30 BST
Join Rachel Dorris for an exciting journey into the world of bioengineering. In the morning, the students will design a research trial aiming to measure and optimise an asthma drug delivery system. In the afternoon they will explore how engineering and mathematics combine, when using sensors to monitor the body.
Please note: This workshop is strictly for 13–15 year-olds and will include a 45 minute supervised lunch break. Students will not be able to leave the building at lunch time unless permission is given at the time of booking. Students should bring lunch and a drink, pens, pencils and a calculator.
This workshop is based on an Ri Engineering Masterclasses. Students who have attended a Masterclass series which included a session on a similar topic may have already seen some of the content in this workshop. Please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
