Summer Series: In Conversation with Shaun Pinner

Shaun Pinner is a former soldier of the British army, who later joined the Ukrainian army after moving to the country in 2018. During the siege of Mariupol, Shaun was captured by Russian Forces and sentenced to death, but was freed in September in a prisoner exchange. Shaun was awarded the ‘Order of Courage, 3rd Degree’ by President Zelensky for “selfless acts in the defence and sovereignty of Ukraine”.
