Social Enterprise – Positively Changing the World
Social enterprise is growing in popularity globally. It is attracting people of all ages and from all walks of life. It is considered to be powerful and exciting. The UK is considered to be ahead in its application to creating positive social and environmental change. Yet it is a concept poorly understood and delivered.
This one day workshop takes on a journey to understand what social enterprise is. How it encompasses ethical and environmental concepts that are of increasing importance. Why governments around the world see social enterprise as part of the solution in solving social problems. We will look at why it is attracting so many people and how powerful it is engaging communities and people. Most importantly how you can do this whilst generating profits.
Who should attend? UCL Students, Staff & Alumni interested in understanding social enterprise, looking to use enterprise skills to make the world a better place or for those looking to make their business or organisation more sustainable.
