Welcome to Freshwalks, bringing together North West business people in the magnificent setting of the White Peak for our summer social as we embark on a tour of ancient villages, historic country inns and even a secret waterfall.

We intend to take the 08:49 train from Manchester Piccadilly to arrive at Hathersage 09:45.

Schedule

10.00 Walk starts, Hathersage station

12.00-13.00 The Barrel Inn, Bretton (6km)

The Barrel Inn, a traditional Derbyshire country inn, dates back to 1597 and stands at the head of Bretton Clough, in the heart of the Peak District. Being one of only five properties in this small hamlet, on a table of land some 1300 feet above sea level, The Barrel Inn proudly claims to be the highest pub in Derbyshire. Its panoramic views of the majestic Hope Valley and the Peak District National Park are magnificent and on a clear day you are able to enjoy views over five counties. The pub serves a fine selection of well kept real ales and delicious, freshly cooked, mostly locally sourced food, every day.

14.00-14.30 The Bulls Head, Foolow (8km)

15.00-15.30 Queen Anne Inn, Great Hucklow (10km)

16.30-17.00 Ye Olde Bowling Green, Smalldale (14.5km)

18.00 The Old Hall Inn, Hope (17km)

Train returns from Hope at 18:40 and hourly thereafter.

Planned route subject to change and timings are purely for guidance. Precise plans will be confirmed closer to the event.

Hope you can join us, Michael.

FAQs

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

An event pack will be sent out at least 72 hours before the walk. This should answer most things but feel free to email hello@freshwalks.co.uk with any questions you may have. If you've not received the pack by this time, check your email junk or spam and then contact us. Receiving this pack is essential as it includes important disclaimers and health and safety information.

What's the refund policy?

Please take a little look at our refund policy here:

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, you're fine as you are. We keep track of the attendees and check you off on arrival. However, if you have a confirmation email saved onto your phone, this may be useful on the rare occasion that there are any issues.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

If you can no longer make it, please be sure to contact us with at least 24 hours notice. We try to be as accommodating as possible and understand that work commitments may pop up. Therefore, if you do need to transfer your ticket to a colleague, please contact us with their full details so we can organise the transfer in good time including the signing of the relevant legal disclaimers.
