Join us in Leechpool & Owlbeech woods in Horsham, West Sussex to discover the many types of fruit, fungi, plants etc, that can be found and foraged in late Summer.

This interactive event is perfect for anyone interested in wild food, foraging & the natural world in general.

You will learn how to identify plenty of different wild foods, the resources that are available to you, and give you confidence to start in the world of foraging.

You will also learn the various uses wild foods may have, preparation, cooking and preservation advice plus the dangerous lookalikes to watch out for.

Limited to small groups only.

South East Foraging is run primarily by James and he is extremely passionate and has a number of years of foraging experience, has taught foraging in the local area, and he forages for mushrooms and plants almost every day.

The day will start at the picnic area, next to the leechpool car park

Address - Leechpool woods car park just off B2195 (around half way), Harwood Road, Horsham, RH13 6DZ.

Please arrive before 10:00 for an introduction, we will be leaving at 10:30 and we should be returning back at 14:00 or shortly after.

Please come prepared with weather appropriate clothes, and walking boots or similar.

In the event there is extreme weather conditions which is a threat to life the event will be rearranged and attendees will be notified via email.

No person under 18 unless arranged prior, well behaved dogs are welcome.If you wish to arrange a private event, please speak with us on the day or contact us via email.

ACCESSIBILITY - All areas of this walk will have paths but there are some stairs and some inclines are involved.

PLEASE NOTE: WHEN FORAGING FOR WILD FOOD ON YOUR OWN YOU MUST LEARN TO IDENTIFY THEM PROPERLY BY IDENTIFYING ALL KEY FEATURES BY USING A NUMBER OF RESOURCES.

NO RESPONSIBILITY CAN BE ATTRIBUTED TO THE ORGANISERS FOR ATTENDEES PICKING AND CONSUMING UNSUITABLE WILD FOODS FOLLOWING ONE OF OUR WALKS.
