Summerhill School is recognised as one of the strongest schools in the West Midlands, with fantastic students, facilities and staff.

Our GCSE outcomes consistently place us at the top of the Dudley area: but we are not complacent and want to drive the school forward to be even more successful. We are very much a school that looks at the holistic student and we place huge emphasis on the experience that our students get at Summerhill. As you would expect from such a high-performing and popular school, our Open Mornings are very busy. We are therefore asking parents to pre-book a visit time.

We also have an Open Evening on Thursday 2nd October. We expect this to be very busy so please pre-book a ticket.

Will there be a talk?

Each Open Morning tour will be led by a member of our Senior Leadership Team who will guide you round the school and be happy to answer any questions. If you would like to hear a formal talk from our Headteacher and current students, please come to our Open Evening on 2nd October.

Our school admissions are handled entirely by Dudley Local Authority's School Admissions Service. Summerhill School staff do not decide who is admitted to our school. You can find out more at https://www.dudley.gov.uk/residents/learning-and-school/school-information/school-admissions/

I live in X. Will my child be able to get in to Summerhill School?

This is one of the most common questions but unfortunately it's impossible for us to answer. Each year the admissions completely depend on who else applies for a place, where they live and whether they meet any of the special criteria.

What happens if I arrive without a ticket?

We will give priority to visitors who have a ticket. We will do our best to help other visitors but unfortunately, we may not have enough guides available to accommodate visitors who haven't pre-booked their visit.
