Summertime Social

It’s summer which means we’re making the most of the nice-ish weather. Also, this time of year means lots of people are on holiday, so something super relaxed suits everyone.

Join us for a picnic and let’s discuss design, creativity and life in general. And while we chat, we’ll have a few glasses of something summery, enjoy picky bits and pretend we’re in sunny Europe. Imagine if the sun actually shines?

Please bring a blanket and your own drinks/snacks. If the great British weather isn’t playing, we’ll head to High Bridge Works. Let’s just play it by ear when we all arrive.

Pray for anything above 12 degrees and that we won’t need our brollies. We can live in hope, eh?

We’d normally ask you to buy a ticket to cover our overheads for in-person events, but as we’re not at a venue and it’s BYOB, we’ll be donating all ticket funds to Newcastle Women’s Aid.

Our meet-ups are inclusive and supportive spaces and we welcome anyone who’s creative (in whatever form that takes) to join us. We also recognise that our male allies can support our cause further by hearing the thoughts and opinions voiced at our get-togethers. We only ask that our guests respect the inclusive atmosphere and continue to engage in discussion and idea generation for the promotion and support of equal opportunities for female and non-binary identifying creatives.
