About Sundari
Calling all beautiful women looking for softness, sharing and soul connection. We are Sundari, a collective of women on the search for a safe space to open their hearts, share their rawness, shine their inner beauty and create long-lasting meaningful friendships with fellow sisters. Sundari means 'beautiful woman' in Sanskrit and that's exactly how we hope you'll feel at the end of each of our community events, connected to your divine feminine and to a sisterhood of other beautiful women, whether new friends or old.
About Elissia
Elissia's yoga journey began in her early teens, but it was in 2020, during her first 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, that her life truly transformed. She furthered her studies with Yin Yoga under Norman Blair and completed a 300-hour Kundalini training in Rishikesh. However, her profound healing work truly flourished through ecstatic dance, altered-state breathwork, and the use of plant medicines. This exploration led her to complete cacao facilitator training in 2023, deepening her connection to Ixcacao, which she now shares with many. After taking a year away from the hustle and bustle of London, Elissia immersed herself in the spiritual richness of India and later at a retreat center in the Midlands. There, she deepened her teaching practices while exploring Tantra, womb healing, and a community-driven lifestyle. Now back in London, Elissia is on a mission! To create nurturing spaces for women. She hosts regular sister circles, where women can be seen through the lens of love and support from one another. These gatherings empower participants to surrender, release, and connect with their divine feminine essence. Elissia's vision is to cultivate and expand these beautiful sisterhood communities around the globe, fostering connection, healing and empowerment among women everywhere.
About Katie
After years of personal practice, Katie journeyed to Bali in 2022 to complete her 200 hour vinyasa-ashtanga yoga teacher training. There she experienced other life changing practices such as active meditation, pranayama, sound healing, chanting and ecstatic dance. Back home, Katie found her purpose in making heart-led, mindful mediums that transformed her own life accessible to more people, and began running corporate retreats that combine personal and brand growth for business founders in September 2023. Her years of working in the corporate world of advertising communications enable her to do so in a grounded, approachable style that feels relevant in daily life. Outside her business retreat work, Katie takes immense joy in holding monthly women’s circles, ecstatic dances and retreats for Sundari with Elissia, connecting to a beautiful community that continues to grow. She loves holding kirtans, teaching both vinyasa and yin yoga, and always incorporates mantra and sound into her classes; Katie is a classically trained singer-songwriter, and trained in sound healing with Silence + Noise, as well as L1 + L2 reiki healing with Pete Masella in 2024.
About Plot 9
Plot 9 was a derelict council allotment in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, south-east London. It has been transformed from a neglected, polluted waste ground by Andy Millns, a local who took on the plot in 2018. Andy’s vision is to turn the plot into an official community garden, securing its use for the community in perpetuity. Plot 9 is a stand against what skyrocketing rents have done to London. Andy is passionate about creating room for alternative, grass-roots, creative, therapeutic and community-building activities in a city that has sadly squeezed out many of these spaces in recent years.
