Although Sunday Assembly is and always will be free to attend, we do appreciate your dropping a couple of quid into the red welly of joy on the day to ensure we can continue to run these fantasitc events, so please do bring your change.
Thank you and looking forward to seeing you all soon
But what is Sunday Assembly?
We are simply a secular congregation that meets to celebrate life and help each other get more out of it. Like the tagline says, Live Better, Help Often and Wonder More. We arrange talks that aim to inspire and enlighten, provide the setting for a good ole’ sing song, showcase poets and often have short interactive sections such as tango or mindfulness as well. We segway in a couple of minutes of silence for quiet reflection and then finish up with tea, cake and good chat. Some people go on to a pub after where you can enjoy a Sunday Roast with your new found friends.
We have no creed or belief system, be that new age or otherwise and we’re not going to ask you to “join us”. Despite what you might read in the media, we don’t even mention religion, or lack thereof. We’re all humans, so let’s not let theological differences stand in the way of connecting with people and having a great time. The aim is to provide a community space for growth, laughter and love; where people can meet and socialise with no agenda. Everybody, and we do mean everybody, is welcome!
