About this event

There will be no indoor stalls pre booking a stall is advised but not essential. Card payments only at the gate.

The car boot spaces will be allocated on a first come basis and cannot be reserved, tables will not be available for rental. Please note that corner spaces cannot be booked in advance, if you have a long vehicle please book this ticket which allows you to trade from each end.

Stall holders must abide by the market rules and adhere to local authority licensing rules and regulations.

General information

  • Commercial food sellers must contact events@anmgroup.co.uk prior to booking to ensure that you are eligible to trade
  • All commercial traders must have the appropriate insurances and local authority certification with them and displayed as required
  • All food on sale must meet food labelling regulations 1996
  • Strictly no entry for sellers without displaying a pre booked ticket, tickets will be scanned on arrival, ID may be asked to verify a booking
  • Traders and car boot vehicles should arrive from 7am onwards no traders will be allowed to set up after 9am
  • After positioning car boots must not be opened before 8am
  • Gates open to the public at 9am
  • Event closes at 3pm
  • Pitch with power does not include cable.
  • No stalls under the Exchange canopy
  • Traders and car booter's must remove all waste
  • Thainstone Events reserves the right to refuse entry
  • All bookings are non-refundable

Please note the following items are prohibited for sale at the Car Boot Sales:

  • Alcohol
  • Drugs of any kind
  • Cigarettes or tobacco products including vape equipment and refills
  • Any food items (vendors selling food at car boot must be registered with the local Environmental Health Department and hold a trader’s licence, see ‘General information’ above)
  • Stolen goods – any items not within the seller’s legal ownership
  • Weapons of any description – knives, ball-bearing (bb) guns, air rifles, cross bows, etc. (The Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006)
  • Fireworks
  • LPG or gas canisters
  • Illegal plants or endangered plant species
  • Paraffin heaters
  • Fuels e.g. paraffin
  • Animals of any species e.g. fish, dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, and any wild animals
  • Counterfeit goods
  • New toys without a CE safety mark
  • Unsafe or incorrectly labelled electrical goods

Anyone found selling any of the prohibited items listed above will have the items confiscated.
