Findlayis a Scottish classical baritone, currently studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under tenor Iain Paton. Alongside his growing performance career, he is passionate about community music-making and the belief that anyone can sing. His work spans performance, teaching, choral direction, and outreach, with a strong focus on nurturing the next generation of musicians.Findlay’s early leadership began at school, where he founded a boys’ choir that grew from three to twenty-five members and was appointed Head Boy for his wider contributions. At 15, he joined the Junior Conservatoire, studying under Philip Gault, performing with the Consort Choir, and appearing on BBC One and BBC Radio 3.Now an experienced teacher and Association of Teachers of Singing member, he teaches pupils aged 7–24 and holds a Choral Scholar position, deepening his knowledge of liturgical and choral traditions. As a performer, he has sung widely as a soloist and ensemble member, reaching the final round of the prestigious Ferrier Competition. Looking ahead, Findlay plans to pursue a Master’s degree after graduating in 2027, aiming to study at a leading opera centre in Vienna, Germany, or London while continuing to balance performance with community engagement.
