About this Event

8-week online Mindfulness India Training (MIT)

This mindfulness training is adapted from Mindfulness for Life Oxford Program by Dr Avinash and is delivered for all Indian Subcontinent residents only.

The ability to be conscious of when we are living on automatic pilot. To notice when we are reacting too, and feeding negative behaviours. These things are rarely taught. Learn to recognise when you are and how best to respond and take care of yourself.

In this course we will cover:

  • Waking up from automatic pilot
  • Keeping your body in mind
  • Gathering the scattered mind
  • Recognising reactivity
  • Allowing and letting be
  • Responding skillfully to our thoughts
  • How best to take care of yourself
  • Practising mindfulness for life

Time: 10.30 am - 12.30pm (India Time)

Costs:

Booking before the 6th Sept. is £75 (approx 7300 INR).

After 6th Sept. its £85 (approx 8,300 INR).

Cost includes all course materials, one day retreat and guided meditations by Avinash.

How your course will go

The course consists of 8 weekly two hourly sessions, plus a day retreat. We look at mindful communication, cognitive theory, and practices. We also cover how to build and maintain a regular mindfulness practice. A manual, as well as guided meditations for home practice, are also provided. And, at the end of the course, we provide a signed certificate of attendance that can be used for further courses, or for your CPD training at work.

In just 8 weeks Dr Avinash will provide you with the core skills necessary to build a solid mindfulness practice that can help you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

In the sessions, Dr. Avinash will explain the core principles of mindfulness. He'll lead practices and discussions to help participants develop their skills. As well as offering tools, and advice on maintaining their own personal practice.

The retreat is immersive and expands on the weekly sessions! The retreat reinforces the skills and techniques covered. It also introduces new ones to give you a foundation on which to continue your practice.

Because of the intensive, collaborative nature of the course, we keep each course cohort small.

If you miss a session or two you will be sent a recorded video of that session.

This course is for you!

Whether you’re a novice with no knowledge of what mindfulness is. Or, whether you are wanting to develop mindfulness in your life and work. Or, you're wishing to take your existing practice further. You'll be able to get a lot from this course.

How to take part

To take part you'll need a computer, laptop or mobile phone with access to the internet. If you can't get access to these you can also take part over landline. These sessions will be online using zoom. You don’t need an account or to download software or an app.
