Sunday Social Hike

Our well established and much loved Sunday Social Hike is back! And this time we're partnering with Magic Rock Brewing who are kindly offering us Good Footers a special deal on food and drink when we return.

Our Sunday Social Hike usually takes around 4hrs, rambling across the Holme Valley in a circular walk returning to Holmfirth for lunch and a drink.

We class this walk as intermediate due to the hilly terrain and length. If you haven't walked before or for a loing time, we recommend booking on to our Peaky Ramble or other shorter walks. We will be walking across uneven paths and trails so please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the terrain and weather on the day.

Well-being walking

Did you know that walking and talking in nature induces creative and critical thinking in the brain. It also reduces stress levels, minimising anxiety and low-mood. Magically, it can also help reduce memory loss by nourishing parts of the brain responsible for memory. And of course, the physical benefits of walking are endless. Walking is a superpower that most of us have the ability to access everyday!

The rendezvous & parking - Magic Rock Tap, Holmfirth

Meeting outside Magic Rock Tap, Holmfirth for a prompt leave at 9:30am on Sunday 17th July.

Long-stay parking is available at the CoOp in Crown Bottom carpark, Holmfirth. Machines take cash and card. Cash is best! Parking is a 5 min walk to our rendesvous.
