Frequently asked questions

Why is it called a sound bath?

During a sound bath, you’ll be immersed in the soothing sounds of Himalayan Singing Bowls and you’ll feel as if the sounds are washing over you (hence the name). Don't worry it's not an actual bath!

What should I bring?

Please bring a pillow, yoga mat and blanket for the sound bath (participants will sometimes notice their temperature drop as they relax). You may also want to bring any of your own comforts that will support you in relaxing, e.g. an eye mask. Please also bring a journal & pen for setting intentions.

How can I get the most out of my sound healing experience?

To get the most out of the experience, get comfortable, close your eyes and focus on your breath, connect with your body to feel the vibrations created by sound. Enjoy the quiet and learn to let go. Your body will do the rest!

What should I wear?

Dress comfortably for the session for example, yoga attire or loungewear. You are more than welcome to come dressed ready to sleep soon after the session. You may also want to bring layers in case you feel the cold.

What if the parking at the venue is full?

Parking at the Coach & Horses car park in Ickenham (2 minutes walk from the hall) costs £1 for up to 3 hours, and this charge can be refunded with an order at the bar. Please note: Drinking any alcohol after sound healing sessions is not advised due to heightened sensitivity after sound baths.

Is there parking at the venue?

You can park directly at St. Giles Church, Ickenham, on Swakeleys Road, as the church has its own accessible car park with ramps. There are also 5 parking spaces available at the St. Giles Church Hall, located at the end of the churchyard pathway, which is a short walk from the main church building.

Can I park for free on the street?

Yes - Alysham Drive is a 10 minute walk away from the venue and has parking for free if you can find a space. Please leave enough time to walk to the venue and any problems please do feel free to call or message Jenn on 07522594981.

Please also avoid sound healing if you /are:

Pregnant (especially within the first trimester), have a severe mental health issue or have recently had any metal implants embedded.

Who should avoid sound healing?

Participants who have a history of seizures, epilepsy, heart conditions, pacemakers or other implanted medical devices that can be affected by sound or electromagnetic waves, e.g.: Deep Brain Stimulators (DBS), Implantable Cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) and Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs).

Can I bring my young people along?

This event is for ages 15+ and young people under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
