Ronojit Bhuyan

Ronojit Bhuyan is a Concert Pianist residing in London. He has recently achieved a Masters of Music in Piano Performance with Distinction, studying under the guidance of Gabriele Baldocci and Mikhail Kazakevich at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Currently, Ronojit is enrolled in a one-year Artist Diploma program at Trinity Laban, which will serve as preparation for his PhD studies commencing in 2025. He is grateful to the Udmi Devi Trust and Trinity College London Scholarship for their kind patronage towards his studies for the years 2022-2025.

He has achieved notable recognition, winning the John Halford competition and securing second place in the Gladys Puttick competition for improvisation in 2023 at Trinity Laban. Since commencing his studies in London in September 2022, Ronojit has performed in over 50 solo and chamber concerts at various prestigious venues throughout the UK, including St. James’s Piccadilly, the Polish Club, Kensington, the Lansdowne Club in Mayfair for the Bluthner Piano Series, the Nehru Centre in London, Buckingham Gate Suites, The Royal St. Katharine, and the Edinburgh Society of Musicians. Additionally, he was the winner of the Brillante Piano Festival and a finalist in the Conbrio Piano competition in Mumbai in 2020. During the lockdown period, Ronojit and his mother, Violinist Sunita Bhuyan, delivered more than 85 online concerts from March 2020 to October 2021, featuring performances for platforms such as Rolling Stones India, Amazon, NDTV Live, Hungama Music Festival, Better India, and Stage Arts Live.


Education and Experience

After successful completion of his undergraduate studies in Music from Trinity College London (Diploma-LTCL) and Psychology from St. Xaviers, College, Mumbai, Ronojit has become an active Pianist and accompanist. His experience includes playing on a variety of Piano instruments /organs, harpsichord and church choir music. Ronojit has performed for several Masterclasses, some of the teachers include- Pascal Roge, Can Cakmur, Martino Tirimo, Pervez Mody and Min Kwon. He has collaborated with theNational Centre of Performing Arts and the Symphony Orchestra of India, performing the Bach Keyboard Concerto no.5 BWV 1056, Shostakovich Piano Concerto no.2 op.102 and Dvorak Piano Quintet no.1. Additionally, Ronojit has made appearances on various news channels and television broadcasts during music festivals and live discussions. In December 2023, he was interviewed by Trinity College London, where he shared insights on the importance of graded music examinations and his musical journey to London.
