An art studio for kids to choose, experiment & create
Launching in August 2016, the Sunday Studio is a brand new service from creativity and wellbeing organisation SketchBetter. Sunday Studios are simple - an open invitiation for young artists to come and take over a corner of the Art Space at Cass Art in Kingston.
July 2016: Six-year old young lady loves Ballet and Art. She wanted to experiment with dancing in charcoal, like performance artist Heather Hansen.
How It Works
Children can be booked in on one of three time slots during our Sunday Studio and can stay for up to 2 hours to work on creative experiments and artworks of their choosing. Your child may have always wanted to try a canvas painting, or build a robot from cardboard, or experiment with pastels, or make a family mural. Whatever the activities, young artists are welcomed to the Sunday Studios and encouraged to work independently on their own art work and experiments, whilst having the chance to gain professional advice and support from SketchBetter Founder and Artist Kate Andrews, as well as ideas from the other multi-disciplinary young artists in the room.
