In this event, we will dive into the historic relationship of Sunderland and the Theatre, the opportunities and challenges production companies and theatres currently have, and what's in store for students of the illustrious craft.

Sunderland Lit & Phil evenings are about promoting local talent, experts, and visionaries to share their work and ideas with you, and of course, give you a chance to voice all your questions to those in the know. We are a not-for-profit, community-led organisation aiming to get Sunderland talking.
August's competition - Calling all actors! This month, our competition asks for a scene or monologue of up to 5 minutes. This can be a solo or group performance. Submission details can be found on our socials.
