We meet to dance in the sunrise on this shortest day.
Winter Solstice marks the beginning of Yule and is the longest, darkest night in the Northern Hemisphere and the shortest day. As we celebrate the start of Yule it connects us to the natural cycles of life, birth, rebirth, release and hope for the coming warmer seasons, the turning of the Wheel of the Year and the return of light.
This is a time to reflect on the past year, to pause and breathe, to release the undesirable aspects that the dark has brought up, and to integrate all the lessons. We gather together as a community to nurture our spirits and connect to nature, focusing on the promises that the new dawn and coming light has to offer.
You are invited to join us in simple ceremony and dance your release on this the darkest day and embrace the promises of the light.
Meet at the Branksome Beach Poole close to the water's edge to the right of Rockwater Restaurant. Headsets are limited, so please book or let us know you are coming so we can reserve a headset for you.
Parking is available on neighbouring streets or there is a pay and display car park at Branksome Chine.
Looking forward to dancing with you with the waves crashing on the shore this Solstice morning.
