About this event
We meet at Sunrise on Saturday morning to dance, swim and socialise in a beautiful location.
Celebrate the beauty of dancing on the beach in the early morning. An opportunity to connect with yoursef in the silence of the dawn, the music, the ocean and to dance on the beach with our friendly dance community. An absolutely freeing and beautiful event.
We use 'silent disco' headphones for an immersive experience. Once you put on those headphones, you'll be transported to another world by the ecclectic mix of music - Tribal, House, Electronic, Instrumental, Drum & Bass, World - and you can move and groove, bounce and stomp, hop and skip spontaneously to the beat. It is so much fun!
We dance to an eclectic array of music designed to get you moving and expressing yourself in a variety of ways. It's a great way to relieve stess, exercise and have a great time on the beach. Sunrise on Saturday, 13 September is at 6:40am.
We meet at the Branksome Chine Beach in Poole close to the water's edge to the right of Rockwater Restaurant (when you are facing the sea). Headsets are limited so please book or let us know you are coming so we can reserve a headset for you.
What to expect:
- Free flowing movement (there are no steps to follow, just your own rhythm and spontaneious moves to the beat).
- Immersive dance experience with headsets.
- We dance barefoot.
- This is a sober event.
- Everyone welcome - all ages and fitness levels.
- Freedom of moving in a gorgeous location.
- Connection to oneself, nature and other beautiful dancers.
What to wear:
- Dress warmly and have layers on as you can remove them when you get hot dancing.
- Swimming gear.
- Comfortable clothes you can move in.
Please note: Photographs and videos may be taken for sharing with our dance community, social media and promotions. By attending this event, you give consent for images to be used. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let our facilitators know ahead of time.

Parking is available on neighbouring streets (Lakeside and Westminster Roads, Branksome BH16 6LR) or there is a pay and display car park at Branksome Chine Beach, BH16 6LP.

Yes. There is a pay and display car park at Branksome Chine Beach, as well as on street parking on neighbouring roads - Lakeside and Westminster Roads, Branksome BH16 6LR.
Conscious Dance is an embodied practice of movement and free flowing dance that integrates emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing. We embark on a movement journey allowing moments of gentle flow, natural rhythm, release, elation, stillness and reflection.
We have 30 silent revolution headsets available. One has a mic so you can hear our facilitators clearly. The range is approximately 100m to 300m so you can have quite a wide radius to dance on the beach.
We do offer refunds if the event is cancelled due to the weather. Please note, however, that Eventbrite do not refund their fee. You will only receive the full cost of the SunFIre dance ticket price. Alternatively, you may transfer your ticket to another future Beach Dance event.
The Council charge us to hold our silent dance beach events and we need to be able to cover their costs, as well as cover our expenses for equipment and facilitators fees. Your ticket purchase contributes to the hire of the beach, insurance, equipment and running costs; and is very much appreciated.
Yes, during the Winter months dogs are allowed on this side of the beach and many of our dancers bring their dogs with them. The headphones have quite a range so if you need to walk your dog, you can still listen to the music while you dance and take your dog for a dance along the beach.
