This June we are being joined by author, comedian and TV writer, Adam Kay, who will be reading his number one best-seller 'Dexter Proctor: The 10-year-old Doctor.' A laugh out-loud fiction series about the world's youngest doctor. He will be joined by Henry Paker, the award winning illustrator behind all of Adam's novels!

Despite a loving but annoying family and a couple of good friends (Rupi and Otto), Dexter’s always struggled to fit in. Add to this a mortal enemy (Dr Drake) and a major problem at his old school (all the teachers struck down with awful diarrhoea) – will Dexter be able to save his job, save the school and find his place in the world? (Spoiler alert: yes!)'

Sunshine Stories is a special series of story-telling events that encourage families to come together for a calming 45 minutes hearing from a well-known author, illustrator or celebrity. Participation is not expected, and you are welcome to settle in to enjoy being read to! An opportunity to ask Adam and Henry questions will be possible for those that wish to.

Age recommendation - This event is perfect for readers 4+

Timings - The event will run from 5.00pm - 5.45pm, in a room of your choice at home or in hospital.
