EVENT DETAILS

Join fellow librarians and procurement professionals from SUPC and LUPC member institutions for our Summer 2025 Library Group Meeting. This session focuses on the growing shift toward Open Educational Resources (OERs) and what it means for academic libraries.

AGENDA

The theme is transitioning to Open Educational Resources.

  1. Welcome
  2. Sylla at Sussex (Sam Nesbit, University of Sussex Library)
  3. Towards a more open and affordable future: Evidence Based OER Acquisitions with Sylla (Max Mosterd, Sylla)
  4. Break
  5. Guided discussion
  6. Library Group and Framework updates (Gavin Phillips, SUPC)

Academic libraries are under pressure to do more with less. This meeting explores how Open Educational Resources (OERs) can help. You’ll hear how the University of Sussex is using OERs, get a look at Sylla’s new acquisition model, and learn how libraries can access better value and flexible content.

Expect practical tips, real examples, and a chance to share experiences with peers. Walk away with ideas to improve access, stretch budgets, and support teaching more effectively.

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

Online registrations will close at 12 PM on Monday 8 July 2024

This event is FREE and open to all SUPC and LUPC consortia members, specifically librarians and procurement colleagues. Please 'REGISTER' above to secure your place. Joining instructions will be sent nearer to the event.
