EVENT DETAILS

Library Group Theme: Procurement and Library Working Together

This session will explore how Procurement and Library teams can work effectively together to support successful library acquisitions.

The agenda (TBC) will include short case study presentations from two member institutions that have successfully collaborated when calling off from the Books and e-books Framework Agreement:

  • UWE Bristol – Sarah Burton (Procurement) and Jane Choules (Library)
  • University of Sussex – Rob Dewar (Procurement) and David Rowe (Library)

We will also discuss the recent Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) review meetings for the Books/e-books and Serials/Periodicals frameworks, sharing key highlights and introducing new member-facing SRM outputs.

The session will provide an opportunity to share experiences, successes and challenges across the SUPC and LUPC membership, and to discuss any aspect of library spending, at both strategic and practitioner level.
