About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

Join solar researcher Lucy as we explore the awesome power of the Sun!

It’s never been more important to think about how we power our world! Learn more about our research as you make you own solar array to power a light, and then design your own super-efficient battery powered car for you to take home. Use special tools to explore the science of solar power, and discover how researchers are helping create a brighter future.

After the workshop you can meet Scott, and enjoy a Super Cool Chemistry show exploring chemical engineering. Watch cool explosions, see giant slime and watch a rocket blast off as we explore what chemistry can do for us! You’ll also have the chance to relax on the green, play some games and enjoy some free healthy snacks at the Imperial White City campus.

This is a free science workshop for families with children aged 7 - 11 in the White City area. An adult must stay with children for the duration of the session.
