Is Design Council Spark for me?
Design Council Spark run as a pilot this year with the aim is to uncover the UK’s next great product inventions. If you have an idea or a prototype for a product but don’t know what to do with it, come and meet Haidee Bell and Marion Gillet, from the Design Council. They will give a short presentation about the organisation and the Spark programme before answering your questions.
Haidee Bell Bio
As Head of Design Programmes at the Design Council, Haidee Bell supports the organisation’s Design Challenges work which explores how design and behavioural research can create new solutions for the UK’s big issues. She also led the design of Design Council Spark which aims to take more UK based physical product ideas to market.
She has experience in setting up programme that use a creative approach to innovate across industry and public services.
Marion Gillet is Programme Lead ad Product Development Manager for Spark. She has a product design background and over 10 years’ experience in providing advice and managing unprecedented product collaborations between international brands (Longchamp, Clairefontaine) and small design companies (The Heatherwick Studio, Device ltd). She really knows what it takes to take a product to market when you are a small business.
