Supercharge Decision-Making “Solve the World’s Hardest Problems
Overview
When organizational futures depend on AI-enabled decisions made in seconds, leadership teams require more than theoretical frameworks—they need proven methodologies from pioneers who've solved these challenges at the highest levels.
The Critical Decisions in AI Series represents the premier global forum where CTOs, CIOs, VCs, Startup Founders, Industry Experts, Inventors, AI Strategists, and AI Operators collaborate to architect the next generation of AI-human decision systems. This executive forum convenes the world's foremost practitioners and industry experts to address the most consequential challenges in enterprise AI deployment. Early Bird Ticketing until Dec 30th take 30% off all tickets and upgrades.
Session 1: "Solving the World's Hardest Problems at Speed and Scale" takes place Wednesday, January 28 at 9:00 AM PT / 5:00 PM UK.
Dr. Thomas Kehler, Founder & CEO of CrowdSmart and acclaimed AI pioneer, will present his patented methodology for integrating multiple human viewpoints with machine learning to achieve breakthrough performance in complex decision-making. Drawing from implementations across defense organizations, hedge funds, enterprise strategy teams, and scenario planning environments, Dr. Kehler will demonstrate how his Generative Collective Intelligence approach eliminates bias, coordinates distributed teams, and delivers superior outcomes in high-stakes situations. Joining him is a distinguished panel featuring leading defense venture capitalists and global strategists, with additional industry-leading experts to be announced.
The forum architecture is designed to maximize both intellectual rigor and practical application. Each symposium begins with a keynote from pioneering practitioners presenting proven methodologies. This is followed by facilitated breakout sessions where you connect with senior executives, technologists, and data scientists from around the world facing parallel challenges—an invaluable opportunity to compare strategic approaches, solve problems collaboratively, and discover partnership opportunities that extend well beyond the symposium.
Expert panel discussions then deliver concentrated insights from global thought leaders, culminating in a practitioner forum where participants present specific organizational challenges for collaborative analysis with our expert panel and peer community. This carefully structured format transforms complex AI strategy into immediately actionable frameworks while building a lasting network of global peers navigating similar transformation journeys.

About Dr Tom Kehler
Dr. Thomas Kehler represents a singular voice in artificial intelligence—one of the few practitioners whose career spans AI's complete evolution from symbolic systems through modern transformer architectures. With over 50 years of pioneering contributions, Dr. Kehler serves as Chief Scientist, CEO and Co-Founder of CrowdSmart, where he has developed Generative Collective Intelligence: a patented approach integrating human reasoning with artificial intelligence to solve the complex decision-making challenges that define organizational success. His platform demonstrates measurable superiority over either human or AI-only approaches, achieving over 80% prediction accuracy in complex scenarios where diverse expert perspectives combine with machine learning to generate actionable intelligence.
Dr. Kehler's distinguished entrepreneurial record includes founding and leading IntelliCorp (1982-1991), the first AI/Expert Systems company to achieve public listing. Under his leadership, IntelliCorp assembled an unprecedented concentration of AI talent from Carnegie Mellon, MIT, and Stanford, establishing foundational principles in knowledge representation and reasoning systems that remain relevant to contemporary AI architecture. He subsequently led Connect (1992-1997), among the pioneering e-commerce companies to reach public markets, collaborating directly with Steve Case and AOL leadership to establish infrastructure defining the digital economy. His journey through AI began at Texas Instruments in the 1980s, where he directed the corporate AI research group alongside MIT luminaries under George Heilmeier, DARPA's founding director.
With nearly six decades of programming experience spanning AI's evolution from symbolic systems through neural networks to contemporary transformers, Dr. Kehler brings unparalleled historical and technical perspective to current challenges. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Drexel University, has authored over 20 publications across artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and physics, and holds four patents in AI-amplified human intelligence. His tenure as Industry Faculty at UC Berkeley (2010-2019) and service on the Information Technology Advisory Board of the National Research Council reflect his commitment to bridging theoretical advances with commercial application. Through CrowdSmart and his advisory role with Common Good AI, Dr. Kehler continues developing AI systems that measurably enhance human decision-making while preserving agency, creativity, and collective wisdom.
