What is Pause?

Pause is a drop-in emotional health and wellbeing service for children and young people under 25 with a Birmingham GP. Pause offers brief 30 minute (approx.) sessions where children and young people or parents(on behalf of children) can speak with an experienced practitioner.

Question 2

I am over 12 and would like to attend.

Accepted Answer

Our art workshops are for under 12's, however, we will be running workshops for over 12's, please keep your eyes peeled for more info. If you want to support a younger sibling attending, you're welcome to come along and join in the fun!

Question 3

I'm a parent and I'm wondering whether I can leave the venue once my child is there?

Accepted Answer

Due to health and safety reasons, we require parents of those under 12 to be present in the hub, we will have a separate area set-up that parents will be able to use to enjoy refreshments and meet other parents.

Question 4

I am an older sibling (12+) of a child who would like to come and would like to accompany them.

Accepted Answer

Due to safeguarding reasons, if an older sibling over 12 would like to accompany a younger sibling, a parent or carer must be present unless they are over 18, then they can support as an adult.

Question 5

Can I bring more than 1 child?

Accepted Answer

You are welcome to bring more than 1 child but please book additional tickets for each additional child.

Question 6

I would like to discuss concerns about my child during the workshop, is this possible?

Accepted Answer

Please drop-in during our opening hours if you would like to discuss concerns about a child, this ensures that concerns are voiced in a confidential space.
