Special Rider Books Presents: Oasis Quiz Night
Celebrate three decades of Britpop history with us on 3 October — exactly 30 years to the day since Oasis' What’s the Story Morning Glory? first hit the shelves.
Music journalists Ted Kessler and Hamish McBain were there in the thick of it, documenting the rise (and mayhem) of Oasis for NME. Their new book tells the band’s story through every single song — from the scrappy anthems of their early days to the cocaine-fuelled chaos and stadium-sized swagger of their later years. It’s a page-turning chronicle of brilliance, excess and very loud guitars.
On the night, Ted and Hamish will kick things off with a discussion about the book and their front-row seats to the Oasis phenomenon, before hosting a Oasis Quiz. Expect tough questions, insider trivia, and even a live music round to test whether you know your Supersonic from your Champagne Supernova.
So get your Shakermaker down to Special Rider — drinks provided (cigarettes outside only). Gather your team and brush up on your Britpop.
Because, honestly — it’s going to be biblical.
