Superuser II is fast approaching on March 5th at the National Gallery. If you haven’t yet registered, you need to at: superuser.eventbrite.com – there are a few places left, but they will go in the next few days. If you would like to introduce someone to the community, just drop me a line.
The theme for Superuser II is mobile, and two of my favourite Superusers will be speaking:
Ed Hodges (head of mobile for RBS) and Ewan MacLeod (head of digital innovation for Reed Exhibitions). They’ll be talking about what they bring to enterprises, having previously run their own companies in mobile technology and digital marketing.
Our agenda is:
- 7pm: Arrive, grab your drinks
- 7:20pm - Welcome (from me)
- 7:25pm - Ed Hodges – Head of mobile, RBS
- 7:35pm – Ewan MacLeod – Global head of digital innovation,
- 7:45pm – Food, drinks, fun and conversation.
- 9:30pm – Go home (or to the next venue)
Ed is a former mobile and technology entrepreneur who went on to head up mobile app development at Tesco. He is currently working as Head of Mobile for RBS's Business & Commercial division and is responsible for building the mobile channel and defining the future of NFC and Merchant Payment Services while encouraging the use of agile development techniques within the bank.
Ewan is a former internet entrepreneur with several successful start-up exits under his belt. He has raised more than $1m in seed funding from a US VC. He is author of the Mobile Industry Review. Ewan is now tasked with finding new business lines and bringing brilliant digital experiences to customers of Reed Exhibitions.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
Definition: Superuser - A person who understands the fastest route to value for another person or organisation. Using a combination of levers and tools that include technology, people, processes, companies and networks, a Superuseris capable of delivering outcomes of tremendous scale. Often using collective intelligence, big data and analytics to influence yield, customers, revenue, sales or cashflow, the Superuser is an interesting and important individual for a company wanting to drive global business and prove value to stakeholders. A Superuser can comfortably work in sales, technology, marketing, finance or operations and connects that dots that no one else can see. Gun for hire. A doer.
