Supervising bereavement work

This online training will support managers whose teams work directly with bereaved families to develop their understanding and awareness of the challenges and how to get the best out of supervision.

Who is this training for?

This training is suitable for line managers who deliver supervision to team members who are working with bereaved families.

What will I learn?

During this training, you will:

• Develop a greater understanding of the skills needed to supervise practitioners working with bereaved children and young people, and with family members when a child has died.
• Explore how to support team members to prepare for and get the most out of supervision
• Provide a space for ‘supportive curiosity’ about the challenges, skills, knowledge and qualities faced by, and required of, bereavement supervisors.
• Develop an awareness of the importance of looking after ourselves
• Receive information about Child Bereavement UK and other support organisations, and about resources available.
