Intel and WEConnect International would like to invite you, your locally based colleagues and tier 1 suppliers to participate in a supplier diversity event that Intel are hosting on Wednesday 16th October in Munich.

Supplier Diversity: Inspiring Innovation
Date: Wednesday 16th October 2019
Timings: 10am to 4.45pm followed by networking
Location: Intel Deutschland GmbH, Lilienthalstraße 15, 85579 Neubiberg bei München

The day is split into two: the morning session will only be for representatives from corporate member companies or companies who are interested in finding out more about supplier diversity programmes in Germany and the afternoon session will also include representatives from women-owned businesses in Germany. The event will be presented in a mix of German and English.

Who should attend?
Any corporations who are interested in implementing supplier diversity programs within their companies. And corporations who want to share their experiences with their supplier diversity programs and discuss challenges and future visions.

The event is a valuable networking experience. It aids in increasing the awareness and inclusion of women-owned businesses within the German market. Corporations and women entrepreneurs will come together in a unique experience to discuss diversity and inclusion, make connections and exchange ideas.

10.00 Registration
10.15 Presentation: Supplier Diversity & Inclusion at Intel (English). In this session we will explain what supplier diversity is, what tier I and tier II spends are, tell you about Intel`s experiences and the values of a diverse supply chain. This session will be presented by Anuschka Lutz, Category Manager in the EMEA Regional Strategic Sourcing Group / Supplier Diversity & Inclusion Germany Program Lead.
10.35 Presentation: Introduction to WEConnect International in Europe (English). In this session, we will introduce you to WEConnect International in Europe which is the leading global supplier diversity initiative spearheading the connection of women-owned business and multinational corporations. It is Europe's leading advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to global and national corporations and government bodies. This session will be presented by Emma Duncan, Outreach and Event Manager for Europe, WEConnect International.
10.55 Open discussion (German and English) - all participants will be able to share their questions, challenges and best practices around supplier diversity in Germany.
11.30 Networking lunch for both corporate attendees and women-owned businesses
12.30 Welcome from Christin Eisenschmid, Intel Germany Managing Director (German)
12.45 Presentation: Introduction to WEConnect International in Europe and VdU (English and German). In this session, we will introduce you to WEConnect International in Europe which is the leading global supplier diversity initiative spearheading the connection of women-owned business and multinational corporations. It is Europe's leading advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to global and national corporations and government bodies. We will also introduce Verband deutscher Unternehmerinnen (VdU - Association of Women Business Owners in Germany) – WEConnect International’s certification partner in Germany. This session will be presented by Emma Duncan, Outreach and Event Manager for Europe, WEConnect International and Evelyne de Gruyter, Lead PR, VdU.
13.15 Interaction: “60 seconds challenge” (German or English, as preferred). Brief introduction of each women-owned business with their one-minute “elevator pitch.”
14.15 Coffee break
14.45 Workshop: Empathy Experiences (German or English, as preferred). Presented by Carlotas. Carlotas is a company with social purpose, that uses art and playful education to provide a dialogue on empathy, respect and a new look for the diverse as multiplicity.
16.00 “Meet-the-Buyer” tables (German or English, as preferred). In this interactive session you will have the chance to talk with Intel purchasing representatives from different categories, supported by other corporation and prime (tier 1) supplier representatives. Bring all the questions you ever wanted to ask a buyer!
