What should I do to make sure that workers are managed well down my supply chain?
In this interactive session, Pauline will explore the implications for organisations if they do not keep aware of what is happening in their supply chain, and suggest solutions through demonstrating the new ‘SCA-Emp’ toolkit, that is available to organisations for free.
Tragedies can happen when organisations do not take adequate responsibility for what happens further down the supply chain. However, this is easier said than done. Professor Pauline Dibben and her team have carried out a lot of research in South Africa and Brazil to find out how (and whether) companies are checking on their supply chains. Their research has resulted in a diagnostic tool that companies can use to improve their supply chain and HR practices.
The event will start with refreshments from 6.00 - 6.30pm, and will then be delivered in an interactive way and use a combination of: direct input, small group discussions, trying out the toolkit in small groups, and questions and answers.
NB: Please bring your own laptops/tablets with you to this event. There will be a few extra laptops available for those that don’t have one.
