About this event
Our next monthly support meeting at RISC is on Monday 11th July 2022 at 7.30pm. We'll be watching a Ted talk, 'Sleep is your Superpower' by Matt Walker.
Sleep is your life-support system and Mother Nature's best effort yet at immortality, says sleep scientist Matt Walker. In this deep dive into the science of slumber, Walker shares the wonderfully good things that happen when you get sleep -- and the alarmingly bad things that happen when you don't, for both your brain and body. Learn more about sleep's impact on your learning, memory, immune system and even your genetic code -- as well as some helpful tips for getting some shut-eye.
After the talk, there will be refreshments and an informal discussion to share our thoughts on the topic.
Numbers will be limited to a maximum of 20 people, so booking is essential if you wish to come along. As always, the meetings are completely free of charge and everyone is welcome. We aim to provide a safe and confidential environment where everyone is listened to and treated with respect.
Please visit our website for important booking information and details of the Covid safety measures we have in place.
