Support Group For Those Affected By Someone's Drinking
Tue 2 May 2017, 18:00 – 20:00 BST
This weekly support group starting on Tuesday 2nd May is to support those affected by someone's drinking, now or in the past.
Living with an alcoholic is very complex and the home environment can be extremely stressful and overwhelming. We focus on the alcoholic and lose sight of ourselves.
This group is to help you find yourself and focus on all the positive things, build your self-esteem, confidence and have a calmer and more fulfilling life.
Jo is an adult child of an alcoholic so she gets it. She is offering a safe and secure environment that will be confidential. You can be with other like minded people so you never have to feel alone again. Some may not realise the impact living with an alcoholic has had but there are often many issues that we encounter.
You may struggle to say no, put boundaries in place, experience anxiety, always do things for others, have your own addictions or maybe have high expectations and standards. You can change these things and face them in the present so your future can be better.
