Opportunities Together Support Worker – Role Overview

As an Opportunities Together Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in helping adults with learning disabilities live independently and meaningfully in their own homes. You’ll provide day-to-day physical, emotional, and practical support, including personal care and medication administration, while promoting their rights and dignity.

You’ll work across various properties in the borough, sometimes independently, and may be asked to change locations at short notice. Experience supporting people with disabilities, whether paid, voluntary, or personal is essential, especially in managing challenging behaviours and diverse needs.

This is a dynamic time for the service, with a focus on strength-based approaches and the use of technology. You’ll be encouraged to work creatively with tenants to develop life opportunities and support plans, and to build partnerships within the community.

No prior care experience is needed, just a genuine desire to help others. A valid UK driving licence and access to a car are required for this role, please bring proof of your driving licence with you.
