Co-delivered by mum-and-daughter team, Jannine and Becca, this session blends professional insight with powerful lived experience. Together, they’ll guide you through real-life stories, evidence-based strategies, and practical tips that actually make a difference.
Whether you’re a parent trying to support your child, or a young person trying to make sense of your own experiences, this session is here to help you feel more understood, more equipped, and less alone.
We’ll explore:
- how to understand anxiety as an adaptive emotion - not just something to be 'fixed'.
- the unique aysw anxiety can show up in neurodivergent children and teens - including when it's masked, or aggravated by masking.
- how to respond to anxious moments with confidence, clarity and compassion - in ways that actually help. This is a gentle, supportive space designed with families in mind. You’re welcome to attend as a parent or carer on your own, or to come along together with your child or teen (aged 14+). For safeguarding reasons, children and young people should be accompanied by an adult and not attend alone.
You’ll leave with:
- a clearer understanding of anxiety and why it can feel so overwhelming.
- practical ways to navigate anxious moments – without making things worse.
- a shared language to talk about what’s going on – and what can help.
- a sense of connection – with yourself, and with others who get it.
We believe anxiety makes sense when you understand the full picture – and that every family deserves compassionate tools, honest conversation, and hope.
Please note that access to the recording will be sent out within 2 working days of the event.
