About this event

Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) is an autistic profile marked by intense anxiety in response to everyday expectations, whether external or self-driven. Adults with a PDA profile often develop sophisticated ways to avoid demands as part of managing their anxiety.

This workshop is designed for autistic adults with a PDA profile and those who support them in any capacity- whether as family members, friends, professionals, or community members. Drawing on both professional expertise and lived experience, we will explore effective strategies to create a supportive and understanding environment that respects autonomy, reduces anxiety, and encourages positive outcomes for PDA adults.

We encourage our workshops to be interactive and are keen to discuss and involve people as much as we can. Therefore, due to the nature of this, unfortunately, we are UNABLE to record our workshops due to the privacy and confidentiality of the attendees.
