About this event

We warmly invite parents and carers to join us for an insightful and supportive session focused on anxiety in the context of school attendance and emotional school-based avoidance.

The session will be led by Nicole Wareing, Clinical Mental Health Practitioner with CAMHS, alongside Angie, a parent with lived experience who has navigated the challenges of supporting a child with SEND and mental health difficulties. Angie brings her perspective as a peer support work for CAMHS.

Together, Nicole and Angie will share:

  • Real-life experiences of managing school-related anxiety
  • Practical strategies to support children and young people
  • Guidance on accessing help and resources

This is a safe and welcoming space for parents and carers to learn, connect, and feel empowered.
