This is a practical workshop to give advice to practitioners who are supporting learners with a visual impairment in mainstream settings.

Course Content/Objectives 

  • Sharing good practice in working with pupils with visual impairment in their settings 

  • Creating a vision friendly classroom 

  • Identifying appropriate materials/supportive strategies 

  • How to access support from VSS 

Outcomes sought 

Designing, implementing and supporting a learning and teaching programme which takes full account of the abilities and learning needs of pupils with visual impairment in mainstream settings.
