About this event

Family & Education • Parenting

In this workshop, you'll discover some of the science behind attachment and how it shapes your child's emotional development and behaviour. We will explore practical, easy-to-implement strategies and playful approaches to foster trust, communication, and a sense of security. Together we will explore how to use play as a powerful tool to create deeper, more meaningful connections with your children, whilst improving your understanding of why they do what they do and how you can support them!

Whether your child is a toddler or a pre-teen, you'll walk away with new insights and techniques that can transform your relationship. This is more than just a workshop; it's a chance to strengthen your foundation of love and connection.

What will you gain?

  • A deeper understanding of child development - helping parents learn to recognise challenging behaviour as signs of underdeveloped skills or unmet needs, rather than naughtiness.
  • The power of play - helping parents learn to see play as a serious tool for learning and development.
  • Behavioural triggers - helping parents gain an understanding of what you can do to reduce challenging behaviours in your children using a playful approach.

Why join this workshop?

I understand the challenges and joys of raising a family with an adult daughter of my own and have had the privilege of working to support families of different backgrounds for over 25 years. I believe deeply in positive parenting approaches, focusing on the parent-child relationship at its heart. I am trained in a wide number of areas and evidence-based approaches around Attachment-Based Parenting, Integrative Attachment Family Therapy, Theraplay and Developmental Dyadic Psychotherapy informed principles, therapeutic creative arts, and Compassion-Based Mindfulness. I am a Sleep Practitioner and Trauma-informed. All of which means I provide a truly integrative, personal approach when supporting families.

I'm here to help you connect with your children through attachment and play-based approaches to make everyday life just a little bit easier.

Additional workshops focusing on other themes and Drop-In Sessions will be available over the coming months.
