Overview
HabVIUK – Knowledge Exchange -
Please note - this event is ONLY OPEN to registered members of Habilitation VI UK.
The next Hab VI UK Knowledge Exchange will be held on Thursday 11th December at 4pm.
'In our final Knowledge Exchange of the year we will be focusing our practice on supporting Children & Young People who have a vision impairment & additional or complex needs. Through case studies we will explore the role of the Qualified Habilitation Specialist, how we assess & what interventions we may provide, as well as looking at the role of other professionals within this area. We will also examine at what point do we finish an intervention & hand the reins over to others.
This session will count as 1.5 hours towards your CPD log
The purpose of the Knowledge Exchange is to provide an opportunity for Habilitation VI UK members to come together to share knowledge, experience, ideas and best practice that can support others with the delivery of Habilitation. The quarterly Virtual meetings will be delivered via Microsoft Teams and provide a space to discuss a broad range of topics, with each session having a specific theme to examine and debate, both in breakout rooms and as a wider group. Topics will be determined by the needs of members and maybe supported by linking and collaborating with other professionals & organisations to deliver the sessions. It allows members to share their knowledge and experience and learn from one another. This 1.5 hour session may be counted towards an individual’s CPD log under Orientation & Mobility.
