This webinar will explore managing difficult and sensitive conversations and supporting families when someone has died suddenly.

Who is this training for?

This training is suitable for individuals whose work brings them into contact with families when someone has died suddenly, for example: emergency services personnel, doctors, nurses, midwives, paediatric staff, other healthcare staff, faith leaders, and coroners' officers.

What will I learn?

During this training, you will:

  • Gain an understanding of the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that accompany grief.
  • Explore ways to talk about death and dying with suddenly bereaved people.
  • Consider helpful ways to support individuals affected by sudden bereavement.
  • Identify ways of looking after yourself and recognise why this is important.
  • Receive information about Child Bereavement UK and other support organisations, and resources available.

Before booking on any training, please read our training terms and conditions. We encourage prospective participants to consider their own experience of loss and how it might affect them during training. Our training may not be suited to someone who has experienced a recent bereavement.
