About this event
This online training is aimed at all those involved professionally in the Child Death Review process and will consider not only the practical aspects of the processes but also the emotional aspects of supporting bereaved families.
Who is this training for?
This training is suitable for individuals whose work brings them into contact with families involved in a Child Death Review, for example: Child Death Review keyworkers, police and coroners’ officers, doctors, nurses, midwives, health and social care staff, and hospice staff.
What will I learn?
During this training, you will:
- Discuss the impact of the Child Death Review process on grieving families.
- Develop greater confidence in providing support to, and communicating with, bereaved individuals.
- Explore the opportunities, limits and challenges of your role in the process.
- Increase your awareness of how people bereaved of a child respond to loss, death and bereavement.
- Identify ways of looking after yourself and recognise why this is important.
- Receive information about Child Bereavement UK and other support organisations, and resources available.
Before booking on any training, please read our training terms and conditions. We encourage prospective participants to consider their own experience of loss and how it might affect them during training. Our training may not be suited to someone who has experienced a recent bereavement.
If you would like to know more about training from Child Bereavement UK, please email training@childbereavementuk.org.
