Welcome to Hidayah’s Everyday Allyship Training Series, our short sessions are created to provide individuals and organisations the tools to better support Queer Muslims across all areas of life.
In this second session, we’ll explore Queer Muslim identity and mental health, and discuss how to provide safe, inclusive support through effective safeguarding.
Learning Outcomes:
- Recognise intersectional identities and the cultural, religious, and societal pressures impacting LGBTQI+ Muslims.
- Learn safeguarding best practices to support the safety and wellbeing of Queer Muslim service users.
- Gain tools and confidence to empower your organisation to provide effective, inclusive support.
Who should attend?
- Staff and volunteers in LGBTQI+ organisations
- Counsellors, therapists, and wellbeing practitioners
- Migrant & refugee support workers (esp. LGBTQI+ asylum seekers)
- HR, DEI and workplace wellbeing professionals
- Anyone from non professional backgrounds who wants to learn about inclusive practice

- Thursday, 23rd October - 10:00–11:30
- Tuesday, 28th October - 14:00–15:30
