Event description

Description

Major changes in a person’s life such as the transition from school-college-university to work, having a baby, moving house, retiring or acquiring a serious injury or illness can all get in the way of being active. This event will bring partners together to improve understanding, share best practice and foster collaboration with the aim of better supporting people to remain active at these key times in life.

The event will feature thought provoking key note speakers and informative workshops offering theoretical and practical examples of best practice both locally and nationally. Delegates will have the opportunity to:

  • better understand the strategic context and hear about the latest research relating to remaining active during the key transition stages of life.

  • learn about existing programmes that target support towards helping people remain active during different life changes, both nationally and in Suffolk.

  • exchange knowledge and explore opportunities to help people stay active when life changes.
