This session is designed for individuals involved in storytelling around care experience here in Scotland — whether as a spokesperson or in support of others. It is a practical, focused workshop that will help participants understand and apply effective storytelling techniques in their work.

Key Topics:

The significance of staying on-message and the risks associated with mythbusting and crisis narratives.
The value of first-hand storytelling, including how to provide context and hold systems accountable.
Techniques for framing in interviews, with a focus on controlling the narrative and applying the "spot, position, and move" method.

This interactive session offers a chance to reflect on and develop your current storytelling approach. Before attending, consider how you or your organisation currently handle storytelling around care experience.
