Supporting Prison Education Employment & Training Yorkshire

This collaborative event hosted by Yorkshire Learning Providers and Novus is designed for organisations who are interested in finding out how to engage with prisons, to support skills development, employment. & meet labour shortages

The event will feature engaging panel discussions with a range of experts, including prison colleagues, educators, training providers, employers, and other organisations supporting rehabilitation. Speakers will share insights, best practice, and innovative approaches to helping prisoners and prison leavers develop skills, confidence, and pathways into meaningful employment, helping to reduce workforce shortages, meet labour needs (in industries such as construction & manufacturing) and help rehabilitation.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore thought-provoking ideas around learning in custody, vocational training, enrichment activities, and the role of work in supporting successful rehabilitation. Panels are designed to spark discussion, challenge assumptions, and inspire new approaches to improving outcomes.

There will also be dedicated networking time, giving professionals the chance to connect, share experiences, and build collaborative partnerships across the sector.
