Event Details

In the wake of the recent atrocity in Manchester, we are aware of the important role familiar trusted adults play in supporting bereaved children, and that children spend a huge portion of their time within the school environment. Many parents will also seek advice from school staff in helping their children make sense of what has happened. Thanks to the generous funding from a charitable trust, we are able to provide seminars free of charge to school staff to support them in their interactions with pupils following the tragic events at the Manchester Arena.

The training session will cover managing sudden and traumatic loss and grief within the school community and will be immediately followed by one-to-one consultation sessions to address school staff’s individual concerns. All schools attending will also have access to our online learning package so the training can be cascaded to all colleagues.

9.30am-12pm - Seminar
12pm-2pm - Consultations with Child Bereavement UK and Winston’s Wish practitioners
