SUPPORTING SEX WORKERS IN PRACTICE

This training is aimed at frontline practitioners in Brighton & Hove services.

Training will be delivered in person by practitioners from the Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP) at Oasis Project and the Adult Services Complex Needs team at Oasis Project.

Topics covered will include:

• Myths and realities around sex work and the sex industry
• Sex Work and the law.
• Gendered experience for individuals working in the sex industry.
• Risks and stigma
• Health needs of sex workers
• Addressing barriers to sex workers accessing support.
• Exploration of strategies for supporting service users who sex work or who may be being sexually exploited
