Kinship children may have experiences which continue to impact on their mental health and wellbeing. Schools should look to support children to improve their understanding of their health and wellbeing with a trauma informed and health rights approach.

This online session, delivered in partnership with KCASS, will take place on Tuesday 23 September 2025 at 10:00am and will discuss education, health and rights and give helpful information about how to support your kinship child at school. You might find this session helpful if you’re about to start or are already caring for a family member or friend’s child who is school age.
